10 Steps to perfect stationery

STEP 1: APPOINTMENT
I would love to meet with you to discuss your dream stationery and to show you samples of some of the options you may want to choose from. If you live locally (Toowoomba, QLD) or within driving distance please let me know. If not, that’s perfectly fine. Everything can be done via email, phone and the post. That’s also why we have this step by step process to guide you through!

STEP 2: CHOOSING
You need to narrow down which design you love, what size and colours you’d like and what matching invitation and reception stationery is needed to complete your day. Some items you may want to consider but are not limited to are:

  • FIRST STAGE: (order approx. 12 weeks before wedding)
    1. Invitation: Flat Square, Folded Square, Flat A5
    2. RSVP Postcard
    3. Information Card
  • SECOND STAGE: (ordered soon after rsvp date)
    1. Order of Services
    2. Place Cards
    3. Table Numbers
    4. Menus
    5. Seating Plan

STEP 3: QUOTE & COMPLIMENTARY EXAMPLE
Once you have in your mind what you’re needing let me know and I can email you a complimentary example of the chosen design in your colour choice. I’ll also give you an approximate quote on your chosen items based on your rough guest list estimate. I’ll then wait for you to confirm if you’d like to go ahead with the order before proceeding.

STEP 4: PROVIDING INFO
You now get to see your invitation take shape! All I need is:

  1. Invitation wording (doc file)
  2. Guest names for invites and the guests names/addresses for the envelopes including a sender address. (excel file)

I can send through wording options and examples to help make this process easier. Just ask! Once this info is sent through I will send through your customised proof and the invoice.

STEP 5: PROOFING & PAYMENT
This is the time where you can choose to adjust things so you are completely happy with the finished product. Once you have approved the proof and the invoice has been put through (by Bank Deposit, Cheque or Money Order) your invitations will be sent to the printer. YAY!

STEP 6: PRINTING
Your beautiful invitations take approximately 2 weeks to be printed. Once they are completed you can either collect them or I can post them out to you.

STEP 7: RECEIVING & POSTING
Now you have your invitations in your hot little hands and your one step closer to being married! All you need to do is put the invitations in the matching envelope, stamp them and off they go! (you may need 2 stamps per invite depending on the size chosen)

STEP 8: OTHER STATIONERY
Your rsvp date is coming up. Now is the time to begin on the items needed for the ceremony and reception.

STEP 9: PROVIDING INFO
Depending on what items were chosen, all I might need is:

  1. Order of service wording (doc file)
  2. Guest names for place cards (excel file)
  3. Table seating list (excel file)
  4. Menu (doc file)

I can send through wording options and examples to help make this process easier. Just ask! Once this info is sent through I will send through your customised proof and the invoice.

STEP 10: REPEAT STEPS 5 & 6
