This is my family. We live in a golden brick house with a white picket fence in Toowoomba, ‘the garden city’ in Queensland, Australia.

My heart always told me that creating needed to be part of my every day. But I’ve never known precisely how creating as a purpose should be embodied and often wondered of the purpose of it all anyway?

I have found myself instinctively following sign posts which would lead to colourful creating stations, each with new materials to play with. I would say that my hands do the forming, but I’m learning that the process actually works a spiritual formation in me. And when the clock tells me I’m done, I leave with an extra patchwork for my life-quilt and another story to sing.

I don’t always see the purpose of creating when my hands are deep in the work, but I’m learning there always is one.

My eyes are ever widening to the truth that we all bare the image of the creative Creator and that to make art with our very lives reveals a glorious dimension of His heart. And there’s certainly a beautiful purpose in that.

You may find sporadic offerings here in my shop while the work of my hands currently invests mostly in the art of life right now. However, I have followed the next sign post which has led me to pick up my pencil and write. So while I work on a new project in the background of family life, you can find me on a regular rhythm in your virtual mailbox providing a little beauty and encouragement to your week.

If curiosity leads you, you are invited to subscribe to Beauty Maker Things and rediscover the hidden art of letter writing where my hope and prayer is that it will ‘spur you on towards love and good deeds’. (Hebrews 10:24)

You can now find my latest letters on Substack. I would love your presence over there!
